King's Gate Ghost Rider in the Wind
AKC - DN22504005
Blue Merle Female
Tehya's sire is our very own:  King's Gate SAA Kovus Cowboy Blues - DN13315501 - Blue Merle

and her dam:  Keah - DN14648712 - Black-Tri
Tehya came to King's Gate in August of 2008.  A family in Batavia asked that we stud out our Cowboy Blue’s, and Tehya was
pick of the litter.

Tehya is a smaller, standard size female Aussie, who weighs 38 lbs, and stands 19 inches.  She is 1 ½ years old.  When she
was just over 1 year old, she had an unexpected litter with our Black-Tri, Denver.  She had a difficult labor, so we feel it is in
her best interest that we not keep her as a future dam.

She is a beautiful Blue Merle and looks a lot like her dad.  And, this girl has a lot of spunk.  She is very active and would likely
be an awesome agility dog with proper training.  She loves attention and will remain very focused on any “demands” made
of her.  We believe that with some training, she would be awesome with any type of competition or structured play.  She
definitely wants to please and work.  She lives with our pack of younger dogs and spends most of her time with them.
Within that pack, she likes to be the leader.

She knows all her basic commands and she is very obedient.  She is still very young and has a lot of puppy traits that she
will grow out of……   (extra energy and demanding more attention than an older Aussie).  She is extremely smart and very
loving.  We love her to pieces.

Since she is on the smaller side, we worry that she may have another difficult labor in her future.  So, we have decided to
retire her. She was an excellent MOM and would love to have another litter, we are certain.  We have decided though, that it
would be best for her to find the perfect family now while she is still a puppy at heart.

Tehya's markings are incredible, and she has the most gorgeous, full coat.  She has one blue eye and one brown eye.  She
will be devoted and loving, and be the best companion for a family that wants an energetic and lively Aussie.  At the end of
the day, she will curl up next to you and be very content to sit next to you or lie at your feet.

Tehya will come with her AKC papers, and all of her shots and exams are current.  She is house broken and crate trained.
She is a very healthy girl.  She is a stocky and strong little dog.

We require that she be spayed, in the interest of her health, unless she is adopted by an experienced, reputable breeder.
She has a huge heart with a lot of love to give to someone who would love her as much as we do.

Tehya just turned 2 and I attached a couple of pictures of her and her Birthday cake.  She is doing great, has the run of the house day and night.  We
haven’t had to kennel her for the last couple of months and she loves to sleep between us every night.  She loves to follow me every where I go, and gets
to go for 2 walks a day, one with Steve in the morning and me in the afternoon.  Tehya and our cat (Izzy) are getting a long great, the cat loves to tease
her by running back and forth behind the chair and couch where Tehya can’t get her.

There isn’t a person who has met Tehya that doesn’t love her.  She loves everyone she meets and gets along with most dogs.  She also likes to watch
Animal Planet on TV, especially when it’s about dogs.  We’ve been trying to get her to play Frisbee but she has no interest, just wants to chew on the
Frisbee instead of bringing it back.  She does love to play ball and is pretty good at bringing it back, but only when she wants too.

Kathie did you have a chance to look for some pictures of Tehya as a puppy?  I would really appreciate if you could send a couple to me.

We are so happy to have Tehya as part of our family.
